Jesse Baumann is entering his second year as Director of Men's and Women's cross country and Track & Field in the 2012-13 season. In his first year with the program, Baumann led both cross country teams to their first Landmark Conference Championships while both of the indoor and outdoor track & field teams also took home the conference titles.

In his first year with the Greyhounds, Baumann coached seven All-Americans while sending nine student-athletes to the NCAA Division III National Championship Meets in track & field.

Baumann comes to Moravian after five years as the head women’s cross country coach and track & field distance coach at Lynchburg College. Baumann began his coaching career as an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Baumann is a 2004 graduate of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in watershed management, and he completed his Master of Science Education degree at Lynchburg this past June. As an undergraduate, Baumann was a six-time NCAA Division III national meet qualifier and a four-time All-American in the 800 meters, 1,500 meters and distance medley relay. Baumann is also has USATF Level 1 Certification, which he earned in 2007.
