Kristen Gillis was named Moravian College's next Head Field Hockey Coach and assumed her role on April 17, 2017.
Gillis came to Moravian after two seasons as the Head Field Hockey Coach at New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire. She also worked as the Pilgrims Assistant Sports Information Director and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Advisor. Prior to heading to New England, Gillis was an assistant coach at Goucher College, one of the Greyhounds’ Landmark Conference opponents for two seasons. She also worked for five years at Loyola University in Maryland, first as a Compliance Coordinator and then as Assistant Director Records, NCAA Athletic Eligibility.
Gillis earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in kinesiology with a minor in psychology from the College of William and Mary in 2008, and she completed a Master of Science degree in kinesiology with a concentration in sport and recreation leadership at James Madison University in 2010. Gillis was also the Co-Director/Founder of Velocity Field Hockey from 2014-16 with U14, U16 and U19 teams while also serving as a Head Club Coach for TNT Field Hockey’s U16 and U19 teams from 2011 to 2014.
