Golfers Place 10th at Elizabethtown Fall Blue Jay Classic

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College golf team placed 10th of 16 teams at the Elizabethtown College Fall Blue Jay Classic Thursday played at the Hershey Country Club.

The Greyhounds had a team score of 333 while Messiah College won the tournament with a team score of 304.  Albright College was second with a 314, and the Lions' Avery Jones earned medalist honors with an even par round of 71 on East Course at the Hershey Country Club.

Freshman Evan Dickinson led Moravian individually with a round of 79, which tied him for 17th of the 83 golfers in the tournament.  Freshman Jim Maru was tied for 32nd with a round of 82 while junior Eric Schultz was tied for 50th with an 84.  Seniors Aaron Thieme and Tyler Thompson each tied for 61st place with rounds of 88 Thursday.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Monday, October 15th at the Invitational hosted by Muhlenberg College being played at the Lehigh Country Club.
