TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior Nick Kuhn has been named one of the Landmark Conference Men's Golf Athletes of the Week.
With the unprecedented cancellation of spring sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Landmark Conference will be recognizing an athlete from each member institution in each conference-sponsored spring sport for the remainder of the academic year. Honorees were nominated for recognition by their respective institution based on achievements from the shortened season and career accolades.
Kuhn, who garnered his third Landmark Athlete of the Week honor of the year, led the Greyhounds during the fall portion of the 2019-20 season with a scoring average of 76.17 over six rounds to go with one top five finish and four top ten finishes. He had a season low round of 72 in the second round of the Montgomery Cup. Kuhn finished his career with a scoring average of 80.26 over 39 rounds, the 12th best average in school history, and he had five top five and 12 top ten finishes in his career. Kuhn earned a spot on the 2019 Landmark All-Conference First Team with a fourth-place finish at the conference championships.
"Nick has been a great leader for our program his senior year," commented Head Coach Kevin Edwards. "He continued to grow on the course and in the classroom throughout his greyhound career improving both his stroke average and GPA. He finished First Team All-Conference last spring and was in great position to do that again this year. He will be missed next year, and I wish him the best continuing his education in graduate school."
