Ratcliff & Kratzer Selected to Landmark Men's Basketball All-Conference Teams
TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior forward Marquis Ratcliff has been selected to the 2025 Landmark All-Conference First Team while junior guard Chad Kratzer was named to the All-Conference Honorable Mention squad for their performance this winter.
TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior forward Marquis Ratcliff has been selected to the 2025 Landmark All-Conference First Team while junior guard Chad Kratzer was named to the All-Conference Honorable Mention squad for their performance this winter.
Ratcliff, who was also honored on the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Organization 2024-25 Team of the Year and selected as the LVSCBO Pete Nevins Player of the Year, averaged 18.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest this winter, and he also contributed 47 blocked shots, 32 assists, 25 steals and 28 three-pointers. Ratcliff, who made the Landmark All-Conference First Team in 2024 and was the 2023 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year and a member of the All-Conference Second Team as a freshman, had six double-doubles on the season to give him 27 in his career. In three seasons, Ratcliff has 1,386 points to rank ninth in program history, 643 rebounds which is 11th all-time, 158 blocked shots that is second in school history, 83 assists, 67 steals and 62 three-pointers.
"We are very proud of Marquis and all of his accomplishments this season," commented Head Coach Darryl Keckler. "First Team is a great reward for all Marquis did to lead our team into the postseason. Marquis continues to establish himself as one of the best players in the Landmark Conference."
In his debut season with the Hounds, Kratzer averaged 16.2 points per game while playing a team-high 708 minutes. Kratzer also registered 3.9 rebounds per contest to go along with a team-leading 68 three-pointers, 58 assists, 41 steals and eight blocked shots.
"Chad had a great year, in his first season in our program," Keckler noted. "I am very glad the other coaches recognized his play this season with an All-Conference selection. I'm looking forward to seeing what Chad can accomplish going forward."
Moravian finished the season with a 16-10 overall record, and the squad was 11-7 in Landmark Conference action to earn the fifth seed in the 2025 Landmark Conference Tournament, the Hounds' first postseason appearance since 2020.
