Why did you choose Moravian College?

I chose Moravian College because of its close-knit community, location, and size. Coming from a small high school, I knew I wanted to continue to be part of a small school atmosphere that is surrounded by a supportive community. Being close to home also gives me the opportunity to stay close to my family.

What is your major and why?

I am an accounting major with a graphic design minor. I chose these areas because math and art have always been my strong areas and they are both areas that I love and enjoy doing.

What has been your favorite course at Moravian and why?

My favorite course at Moravian has been visual foundations with Douglas Zucco because the course was art-oriented and involved a lot of creativity. I also enjoyed having professor Zucco as a teacher because he was enthusiastic about the subject and I learned a lot from him. I never felt as if I actually in class while taking this course because it was something I always looked forward to.

What are your plans for the future once you finish your degree at Moravian?

My plans for the future involve getting a job in the accounting field. During this, I plan to sit for my CPA exam after achieving my 150 credited hours and doing some graphic design freelance work on the side.

What is your most memorable moment as a Greyhound?

My most memorable moment as a Greyhound is winning our basketball NCAA game in Maine my sophomore year against the University of New England.

How has being an athlete helped you as a student and in the classroom?

Being an athlete had helped me manage my time wisely. Having practices and games really helps me manage my time when it comes to getting homework, projects, and studying done.

What is the hardest part of your sport?

The hardest part of my sport is the length of it. Basketball is spread out over several months and it can be mentally and physically exhausting. However, having optimistic and supportive teammates always helps.

Why do you wear your jersey number?

I chose #24 because it was closest to my high school number which was #25.

Name one obstacle or form of adversity you have had to overcome.

I've had to overcome two sprained ankles throughout my first two basketball seasons here.

Why is community service important to your role as a student-athlete at Moravian?

Community service gives our team an opportunity to give back and say thank you for all the support we get from the community during our basketball season. It also is a form of team bonding that the members of our team always enjoy.

What advice do you have for a prospective Moravian College student-athlete?

Moravian is a great place to be a student-athlete. Every coach and teacher here does their best to help you succeed. The community and support system you have at Moravian as a student-athlete is one of the best. Going here was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
