BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's lacrosse squad is scheduled to start its 2019 regular season with a non-conference home match King's College on Wednesday, February 27 under the lights of John Makuvek Field with a 5:00 p.m. start.
The Hounds will take to the field for the first time in 2019 on Friday, February 8 when the squad hosts Durham University from the United Kingdom for an exhibition match starting at 4:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field. The Durham team features four former NCAA Division I players and eight members of the England U19 team, one from the Wales U19 squad and one from the England national team.
After the regular season opener versus King's, the Greyhounds will host FDU-Florham on John Makuvek Field on Saturday, March 2 before heading to Florida later in the day. Moravian has two matches scheduled during spring break as the squad takes on NAIA foe Ave Maria University on March 3 and NCAA Division II Rollins University on March 5.
The Greyhounds return to Pennsylvania to host Alvernia University on March 12 before a trip to Widener University on March 16. The squad will play the two more matches under the lights of John Makuvek Field on March 20 when the team hosts Swarthmore College and DeSales University on March 27. Between the two night matches, Moravian is scheduled to being its Landmark Conference season at Goucher College on March 23. The Blue and Grey finish out March by hosting Landmark Conference opponent The Catholic University of America on March 30.
Moravian is slated to begin April with a road trip to Stockton University before four straight Landmark Conference contests. The squad hosts Susquehanna University on April 6 before trips to Elizabethtown College on April 10 and Juniata College on April 13. The Hounds host Drew University on April 19 for the final home contest of 2019 as the team celebrates its eight seniors, and the Greyhounds will concluded the regular season with a non-conference match at St. Joseph's (L.I.) College on April 25 and a Landmark Conference contest at The University of Scranton on April 27.
The 2019 Landmark Conference Tournament is scheduled to start on Wednesday, May 1 with the top two seeds hosting the semifinals in the four-team tournament.
