The Greyhounds nearly took a lead in the 25th minute with back-to-back penalty corners but freshman midfielder Catherine Duffin had her shot blocked on the second corner.
The Eagles would get on the scoreboard in the 31st minute when senior defender/midfielder Molly Snyder scored 16 seconds after a penalty corner for Juniata.
Just five minutes into the second half, Moravian junior defender Stephanie Pezzello, pictured, kept the score at 1-0 with a defensive save for the Greyhounds. Moravian had another penalty corner in the 48th minute and junior forward Brianna Van Buskirk would get a shot off but was unable to score for the Greyhounds.
Juniata scored its other goal with just 44 seconds left in the contest when senior forward/midfielder Shauna Deschenes scored an unassisted goal.
Moravian sophomore goalie Andrea Eck had four saves in the contest while Juniata had a 23-2 advantage in shots and an 18-3 edge in penalty corners. Eagles' junior goalie Janelle Howard did not have a save in the match.
The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, October 12 in a Landmark Conference match versus The University of Scranton beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Betty Prince Field.
