Nominations for 2013 Moravian Hall of Fame Class Due April 30th

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College is accepting nominations through Tuesday, April 30th for its 2013 Hall of Fame Class including the Robert Martin Herbstman Award and the Hall of Fame team that will be inducted on Friday, November 8th in Johnston Hall.

Moravian College Hall of Fame:

Moravian College recognizes men and women for outstanding athletic performance during his/her career at the school and for significant contributions to the Greyhound intercollegiate program, and who have continued to exemplify the qualities of leadership, service, and good character in their personal and professional lives.

All individuals who have completed their study at Moravian College ten (10) or more years ago are eligible. Other criteria that may be considered include: Team captain, Team MVP, All Conference or other post season awards, and/or holding or having held one or more athletic records.

A Moravian College coach who had an outstanding coaching career and an overall career winning record at Moravian is also eligible to be nominated for induction into the Hall of Fame.

Moravian College Hall of Fame Teams:

Moravian championship teams who last competed ten (10) or more years prior to the present may be nominated for team induction into the Hall of Fame.

Robert M. Herbstman Award:

The Robert M. Herbstman Award recognizes an alumnus or alumna whose qualities of team work, leadership, and selflessness exemplify the spirit of Moravian College athletics.

All individuals who have completed their study at Moravian College ten (10) or more years ago are eligible. Other criteria that may be considered include: the individual accomplishments of the nominee was surpassed by the teams on which they played; the nominee shall exemplify the spirit of team work, leadership, and selflessness while a varsity athlete at Moravian as well as in his/her personal and professional lives following graduation; and the nominee shall demonstrate service to and support of Moravian, as well as serve as a good ambassador for the institution.
