Football Staff Works at Lauren's First and Goal Camp

EASTON, Pa. --– Moravian College assistant football coaches Tim McGorry, Tim Wait, Jim Newhard, Spencer Brown and Chris Leavenworth recently joined 320 other college coaches for the Lauren's First and Goal 11th annual football camp held on Sunday, June 1 at Lafayette College. A total of 1,851 high school student-athletes attended this annual event, which is the primary fundraiser for Lauren's First and Goal Foundation.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College football program will be hosting its 4th Annual Gridiron Golf Outing on Saturday, May 31 at the Bethlehem Municipal Golf Course.

Moravian Honors Senior Athletes; O'Rourke & Joint Named Athletes of the Year

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College honored its 2014 senior student-athletes at the annual Senior Athletics Awards Banquet Wednesday night in Johnston Hall. Women’s basketball standout Katie O’Rourke was named the Outstanding Senior Female Athlete while men’s track & field All-American Kristopher Joint was honored with the Outstanding Senior Male Athlete award. The Blue & Grey Scholar Athlete awards were presented to women’s basketball student-athlete Laura Jordan and football player Julian DiGiacomo. The H.T.D. Gillespie Award for outstanding service to Moravian’s athletics program was presented to Tom Keim ’49.

Matte Award Back at Moravian for First Time in 11 Years

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- For the 14th time in the 27-year history of the award but for the first time since the end of the 2002-03 academic year, the Matte Award will be spending the next year at Moravian. College after the Greyhounds bested rival Muhlenberg College, 10-6, this year.

DALLAS, Texas --- Four senior Moravian football players have been named to the 2014 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society for their excellence in academics. Seniors offensive linemen Julian DiGiacomo and Nick Fitzsimmons, defensive back Keith Hinds and quarterback Robbie Moyer were all listed in the eighth year of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee hosted its 2nd Annual Special Olympics Basketball Tournament on Saturday, April 5 in Timothy Breidegam Fieldhouse in conjunction with NCAA Division III Week. The event was a huge success as every player, coach and spectator left the gym with a smile on their face.
