Jonathan D’Ottavio is entering his sixth season with the Moravian Track and Field program in 2018-19 and is in charge of coaching the discus, hammer, shot put, and weight throw.
In his first five seasons at Moravian, D’Ottavio has coached 19 Landmark champions, six school record holders, four Landmark record holders, four all-region athletes, two senior scholar-athletes, and one Doug Pollard MVP award winner.
Prior to joining Moravian, D’Ottavio was an assistant coach at Lock Haven. His primary duties included assisting with coaching the shot put, discus, weight, and hammer events as well as assisting with the strength training and conditioning of the throwers. While at Lock Haven, D’Ottavio coached two athletes in the hammer throw at the 2013 Division II Outdoor Championships to 19th and 20th place finishes respectively. Previously to becoming a coach, D’Ottavio was a four-year member of the Lock Haven Track and Field program as a thrower competing in 5 PSAC Championships.
D’Ottavio has both his USTFCCCA and USATF Level I certification. D’Ottavio earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Lock Haven in 2013 and his Master’s Degree in Business Analytics from Moravian in 2017.
