BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College finishes its look back at its 2019-20 athletic campaign. The final entry in our second countdown of the summer – the Top 10 Stories of the Year selected by the athletic administration – is our No. 1 highlight – Moravian raising more than $73,000 during the Department of Athletics and Recreation's inaugural Week of Giving from November 11-17.
While the Greyhounds began with an initial goal of 700 donors, Moravian had 1,212 donors make gifts online, in person or through the mail to the athletic department totaling $73,412.54. Every program benefited from donors during the week, and 13 programs saw donations total more than $2,000 for the specific sport. Five programs – football, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse women's basketball and women's soccer – all topped 100 donors with football recording a high of 177. Four sports – football, women's basketball, men's lacrosse and baseball – received more than $6,000 in donations with football leading the week at $16,189. Moravian's Blue & Grey Club general fund also received more than $6,300 to benefit all of the Greyhounds' athletic programs.
