Mariano Honored as Landmark Baseball Pitcher of the Week
TOWSON, Md. --- Junior pitcher Thomas Mariano of the Moravian College baseball team has been honored as the Landmark Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his performance last week.
TOWSON, Md. --- Junior pitcher Thomas Mariano of the Moravian College baseball team has been honored as the Landmark Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his performance last week.
Mariano helped Moravian to a 4-1 record last week by winning two starts in a span of six days. Mariano allowed four runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out six batters in 12 innings of action, and he had a 3.00 ERA for the week as he improved his season record to 4-3 on the mound. Mariano had a putout and four assists in the field, and both base runners that attempted stolen bases were thrown out during his appearances.
Moravian, which is 17-13 overall and 8-7 in Landmark Conference action, is scheduled to return to action in a non-conference game at Misericordia University on Thursday, April 18th beginning at 4:00 p.m.
