Greyhounds Capture Pair of Event Titles in John & Carol Covert Classic at Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s track & field team captured a pair of event titles in the John and Carol Covert Classic hosted by Lehigh University at the Goodman Campus on Friday and Saturday.

Event Winners

Sophomore Trevor Gray took first in the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.44 seconds
The Greyhounds' 4x100-meter relay team of Gray, junior Jared Santos, sophomore Owen Sabastro and freshman Jacob Fenstermaker won the race in an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying time of 42.20 seconds

Top 10 Finishers

Sophomore Jason Gartner was fifth in the 400-meter hurdles in 59.44 seconds while freshman Liam Maguire took sixth in 59.90 and freshman Josh Swain finished ninth in 1:02.25
Senior Shane Houghton placed sixth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:07.49 while freshman Bryan Kerchner was tenth in the race in 4:08.46
Fenstermaker finished sixth in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.27 seconds while Santos took eighth in 11.34 seconds
Junior Matt Shea was tenth in the 200-meter dash in 23.31 seconds, and he also placed tenth in the 400-meter dash in 52.21 seconds
Swain finished tenth in the 110-meter high hurdles in 16.75 seconds
The Hounds 4x400-meter relay squad of juniors Paul Petre and Brendon Ward and sophomore Geoffrey Kleinberg and freshman Kevin Hess placed fifth in a time of 3:36.72
Sophomore Trey Rolle was seventh in the high jump at 1.87 meters (6-1.5)
