Senior Matthew Lutcza Named Landmark Conference Men's Runner of the Week
Senior Matthew Lutcza of the men’s cross country team was honored as the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week for the week of October 3.
MADISON, NJ – Senior Matthew Lutcza (Dingmans Ferry, PA/Delaware Valley) of the men's cross country team was honored as the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week for the week of October 3. This is the second week in a row and the third time this season Lutcza received this honor.
Lutzca competed in the Brooks Paul Short Run at Lehigh University this past weekend. He was the first Landmark runner to cross the finish line in the Brown race, running an 8K with a time of 25:57. That marks the fastest time by a Landmark runner this season. He finished four seconds ahead of the next Landmark runner in the meet.
Lutzca has the fastest time for Moravian in the 6K race, running an 18:59.30 at the Lehigh University Invitational on September 2nd.
The Greyhounds will run again this Saturday, October 8 when they travel to Center Valley, PA for the DeSales University Invitational. The race is expected to start at 10:30 a.m.
