TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University freshman linebacker Malachi McNeil-Harrison has been named as the Landmark Conference Football Defensive Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University freshman linebacker Malachi McNeil-Harrison has been named as the Landmark Conference Football Defensive Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
McNeil-Harrison made eight tackles with three quarterback sacks, a forced fumble on one of his sacks and a pass break-up to go with an interception in the end zone on the final play of the game to help the Greyhounds rally from a 13-0 halftime deficit to an 18-13 non-conference victory over Utica (N.Y.) University.
"Malachi has worked every day since his arrival to be the best football player he can," stated Head Coach Jeff Long. "He loves to learn and is growing daily. He has love for his teammates, and it shines in moments like these when he was able to produce in some big moments!"
The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, September 21 in a non-conference contest at Hobart (N.Y.) College with kickoff slated for 1:00 p.m.
