Moravian Men's Soccer Begins 2018 Slate with Four Road Contests

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's soccer team will begin 2018 season on the road with a pair of matches in the Elmer Lord Soccer Classic hosted by Salisbury (Md.) University.

The Greyhounds start the year with a match versus St. Mary's College of Maryland on Friday, August 31 before playing the host Sea Gulls on September 1. Moravian then has road contests at Centenary (N.J.) University on September 5 and at Wilkes University on September 8.

The Hounds will finally play on the turf at John Makuvek Field on Wednesday, September 12 in a non-conference contest with Montclair State University at 7:30 p.m., the first of four night matches this fall. The Blue and Grey will host Berkeley (N.J.) College on September 15 before heading to Stockton (N.J.) University on September 19 for another night contest.

Moravian is slated to begin its 2018 Landmark Conference season on Saturday, September 22 at Juniata College with a 12:00 p.m. match as the men will play first as part of Landmark Conference doubleheaders this fall with the women's squad. The Hounds return home to host Susquehanna University on September 29 before heading to Lycoming College for a non-conference match on October 3 to start the second half of the season.

The Greyhounds welcome The University of Scranton for a conference contest on October 6 before road trips to rival Muhlenberg College on October 10 at 7:00 p.m. and Drew University on October 13. Moravian finishes the home season with Landmark Conference matches versus Elizabethtown College on October 17 under the lights and The Catholic University of America on October 20 before the regular season ends with contests on the road at DeSales University on October 24 and Goucher College on October 27.

Moravian looks to qualify for the 2018 Landmark Conference Tournament that begins with the semifinals on Wednesday, October 31 and the finals slated for Saturday, November 3 at the highest remaining seeds' home field.
