BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Senior Shane Houghton of the Moravian University men's cross country team has been honored as the inaugural Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for his performance last week.
Houghton had an outstanding start to the 2022 season as he set a new Landmark Conference record for a 6,000-meter course as he ran a time of 18:16.8 at the Lehigh University Invitational at the Goodman Campus to place 15th of 154 runners and as the top non-NCAA Division I runner. Houghton's time shaved almost 10 seconds off the previous conference mark set by Dillon Farrell '15 back in 2014.
The Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger is selected on Mondays by Moravian's athletic department leadership team.
