Del Casle Leads Greyhounds to 3rd at Catholic
WASHINGTON, D.C. --- Junior Claire DelCasale finished 8th of 53 runners to lead the Moravian College women's cross country team to a third place finish at the Catholic University of America Invitational.
WASHINGTON, D.C. --- Junior Claire Del Casale finished 8th of 53 runners to lead the Moravian College women's cross country team to a third place finish at the Catholic University of America Invitational.
The Greyhounds placed third of six teams in the meet with 83 points while NCAA Division I American University won the meet with 31 points and George Washington University was second with 42 points.
Del Casale ran a time of 23:46.8 on the 6,000-meter course that will be used for the 2013 Landmark Conference Championships in late October. Junior Emily Lambright was the second Greyhound to cross the finish line with a time of 24:40.8 to finish 14th while freshman Meg Brockett was 18th overall in 25:24.5.
Rounding out the top five for the Greyhounds were junior Jessie Goldberg in 24th and freshman Larissa Strycharz at 27th. Junior Devon Bedell was one spot back in 28th while freshman Sarah Hughes took 29th. Freshman Erin Love finished 31st while junior Alyssa Tallon was 42nd for Moravian.
The Greyhounds will have two weeks off before returning to action at the Dickinson College Long/Short Invitational on September 28th.
