BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College baseball team looks to continue its stellar play from the previous season into the 2016 campaign. The Greyhounds look to compete in all 40 games this season and challenge for the Landmark Conference Championship.
The Hounds will start off the season on the road. They will first head down to Hampden-Sydney, Virginia for the Hampden-Sydney Classic, where they will play three games over the weekend of February 27-28. Once done with the tournament, the Hounds will head to Kean University on Tuesday, March 1 at 3:30 p.m. Following the game versus Kean, the Blue and Grey will head down to Port Charlotte, Florida for the Snowbird Classic for six games starting on Sunday, March 6.
The Hounds will then return home for a six-game home stand. The Greyhounds will start the home stand versus rival Muhlenberg College on Wednesday, March 16 at 4:00 p.m. The following day the Hounds will take on New Jersey City University at 3:30 p.m. The Hounds will kick off the Landmark Conference against The Catholic University of America on Saturday, March 19 at 1:00 p.m. and then on Sunday the third game of the weekend will be played at 12:00 p.m. To finish out the home stand the Hounds will take on Montclair State University on Thursday, March 24 at 4:00 p.m.
The Hounds will then head out for seven games on the road. After the road trip the Blue and Grey will return home of eight games, including two conference weekends versus Drew University over the weekend of April 9 and Susquehanna University during the weekend of April 16.
The Hounds will play their last home game against Rutgers-Camden on Tuesday, April 26 at 3:30 p.m. The Greyhounds will end the regular season with a conference weekend at the United State Merchant Marine Academy over the weekend of April 30.
The Landmark Conference Tournament will follow the same format that began in 2015 with the top two seeds hosting three-game semifinals on May 7-8 and the winners meeting at the top remaining seed for another three game series on May 13-14.
