MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. --- Moravian College senior third baseman Alex Bull has garnered a spot on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for his performance last week.
Bull, who was also named the Landmark Conference Baseball Athlete of the Week on Monday, hit safely in all five games with a .533 average while going 8-for-15 from the plate as Moravian won all five contests including a sweep of The Catholic University of America to begin conference action. Bull added five runs scored, six RBIs, two doubles and a pair of solo home runs in the first two games against Catholic, and he had a 1.067 slugging percentage for the week while drawing three walks for a .579 on-base percentage.
"Alex has been working hard this year, and it paid off last week with an outstanding week at the plate. His offensive contributions have been a big reason for our team success," Head Coach Paul Engelhardt said. "Alex will be the first one to tell you he needs to work on some things for his game to get better, and I feel that is where his senior leadership has helped us here. I hope he continues with his success this season and continues to lead us as the year progresses."
The Greyhounds, 9-6 overall and 3-0 in Landmark Conference action, are scheduled to return to action on Thursday, March 24 when the Blue and Grey host Montclair State University in a non-conference game at Gillespie Field with first pitch slated for 4:00 p.m.
