Fourth Seeded Greyhounds Set to Host Juniata College in Landmark Conference Field Hockey First Round on November 2
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey team has earned the fourth seed in the 2024 Landmark Conference Tournament and will host fifth seed Juniata College for a first round match on Saturday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.

Admission to Saturday’s match is $10 for adults and $5 for minors ages 10-17. Children ages nine and under are admitted free of charge, as are all Landmark Conference students, faculty and staff with their school ID. Tickets can be purchased via Hometown Ticketing at https://landmarkconference.
For the second straight year, the Landmark Conference Tournament features six teams with the top two seeds earning first round byes. The winner of the Moravian/Juniata match will travel to top seed Susquehanna University for a semifinal match on Wednesday, November 5. Saturday’s other first round contest has sixth seed Drew University heading to third seed The University of Scranton at 1:00 p.m., and the winner of that match will head to second seed The Catholic University of America for the other semifinal contest on November 5. The 2024 Landmark Conference Championships match is set for Saturday, November 9 at the highest remaining seed for the conference title and a berth to the 2024 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.
The Greyhounds, who are 7-10 overall and were 5-4 in the Landmark Conference regular season, are under the direction of fifth-year Head Coach Sarah Dalrymple, who is in her fourth season on the field with the 2020 campaign cancelled by the pandemic. Dalrymple led Moravian to a historic season in 2021 with the program earning its first-ever Landmark Conference Tournament appearance and the first postseason berth for the Greyhounds since 1987, and the Hounds followed that up by making the conference championship match for the first time in program history after being the fourth seed in the 2022 tournament. Moravian also qualified for the Landmark Tournament last fall, winning a First Round match versus Elizabethtown College in double overtime before falling to Susquehanna in the Semifinals.
Junior forward Gia Ambrosino leads the Blue & Grey in scoring with 12 goals and three assists while senior defender Lexi Dinsmore has added four goals and three assists. Senior midfielder Sydney Anderson has four goals and a pair of assists while freshman forward/midfielder Samantha Culver has netted two goals.
Senior forward Marianna Crisafulli has contributed one goal and two assists while junior midfielder Megan Felmly has recorded four assists and sophomore midfielder Maddie Snyder has one assist.
Sophomore goalie Maia Machado has recorded 77 saves for the Hounds in 986 minutes of action with three shutouts, a 2.31 goals-against average and a 7-9 mark while junior goalie Jessica Knox has made two saves in 45 minutes of play. Junior defender Carolina Catilao-Sanchez has two defensive saves while senior midfielder/defender Devyn Calas has one defensive save.
Also contributing to the Greyhounds this season have been senior midfielder Savannah Sutter and freshman forward Sophia Calantoni, freshman defender Kayleigh Hill, freshman midfielder Shawna Mamrak and freshman midfielder Leah Mogielnicki.
Moravian defeated the Eagles, 2-1 in overtime, this past Saturday, October 26 when the squads met during the regular season on John Makuvek Field.
