DANBURY, Conn. --- Moravian College freshman forward Oneil Holder has been selected as the ECAC Division III South Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for his performance last week.
Holder helped the Greyhounds to a 1-1 record in Landmark Conference action last week. He averaged 13.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in the two games, and added two assists and three blocked shots with just one turnover in 60 minutes of action. Holder was 9-of-16 from the floor (56.3 percent), 1-of-3 on three-pointers and 7-of-10 at the foul line for the week. The freshman also scored 21 points and added eight rebounds against the United States Merchant Marine Academy last Monday as Moravian erased a 12-point first half deficit to post an 88-77 win.
"This is a well-deserved award for Oneil," commented Head Coach Justin Potts. "He has had a great year for us from start to finish and has been extremely consistent at both ends of the floor for us."
Moravian closes out its 2015-16 season on Tuesday, February 23 in a non-conference game versus rival Muhlenberg College. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. in Johnston Hall.
