TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior Brian Stock has been selected as the Landmark Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
Stock finished seventh in the long jump with a leap of 6.65 meters (21-10) at the non-scoring Lehigh University Fast Times Before Finals on Saturday, and he was also 29th in the 60-meter dash in 7.46 seconds.
"We're really proud of Brian, he's worked extremely hard on hamstring rehab and his mechanics," noted Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Jessie Baumann. "He has some of the better footstrike and sprint mechanic positions on the team thanks to the work he's put in, and we started to see the fruits of his labor with a great series on Saturday, especially in finals. We have some work we can still do to steer him onto the board a little better and obviously continued fitness development but he already hit our regional meet qualifier with the rest of indoors to go."
The Greyhounds have a month off before returning to action on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Ithaca (N.Y.) College Invitational.
