TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College junior Rhett Jacoby has been selected as the Landmark Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his performance last week.
Jacoby, who earned his third Landmark Pitch of the Week honor for the spring, tossed a complete-game, six-hit shutout in the Greyhounds' 1-0 win at Susquehanna University. Jacoby also allowed two walks to go along with six strikeouts for his fifth win of the season. He also had one assist in the field.
"Rhett had a great day for us," noted Head Coach Paul Engelhardt. "In a 1-0 game, he commanded the zone and limited runners. He keeps pitching consistently, and deserves this honor again. His team made the plays behind him, and should have credit for such."
The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to the diamond on Monday, April 9 when the host No. 2 Rowan University in a non-conference game beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Gillespie Field in Bethlehem.
