Moravian Men Finish as Runner-Up at 2025 Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships
SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s outdoor track & field squad finished as the runner-up at the 2025 Landmark Conference Outdoor Championship hosted by Susquehanna University with the final day of competition on Sunday.

How It Happened
- The Hounds scored 186 points while the host River Hawks took first with 241 points
- Moravian won four individual titles of the 20 events
- The Blue & Grey posted 16 All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying marks with 11 on Sunday
Moravian Event Winners
- Freshman Marcus Morales won the javelin with an AARTFC qualifying and PR toss of 56.08 meters (184-0)
- Junior Jerome Luckey captured the high jump at an AARTFC qualifying height of 1.94 meters (6-4.25)
- Graduate student Cole Stanchina took first in the 5,000-meter run with an AARTFC qualifying time of 15:09.00
Moravian Scoring Finishers
- Sophomore Gavin Hefferan finished as the runner-up in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with an AARTFC qualifying time of 9:32.15 while sophomore Nate Moore was fourth in 9:55.99, sophomore Adam Plummer placed fifth at 10:04.90, senior Jake Farrell took sixth in a time of 10:07.01 and freshman Jake Mattes finished eighth in 10:17.67
- Freshman Owen Smith was the runner-up in 400-meter hurdles in an AARTFC qualifying and PR time on 54.20 seconds while senior Jason Gartner placed eighth in 57.79 seconds
- Senior Nathan Hajel took second in the 5,000-meter run in a time of 15:13.00 while Hefferan finished third in 15:18.00, graduate student Josh Mangini placed fifth at 15:24.80 and Moore took seventh in 15:33.35
- Sophomore Anthony Morillo was the runner-up in the discus with an AARTFC qualifying toss of 46.70 meters (153-2), and he was selected as the Men's Field Performer of the Year, while freshman Julius Reyes placed third with an AARTFC qualifying and PR distance of 45.82 meters (150-4), graduate student Jeremy Goll took seventh at 40.26 meters (132-1) and freshman Chris Petit-Frere took eighth at 39.52 meters (129-8)
- Junior Bryan Kerchner finished fifth in the 800-meter run with an AARTFC qualifying time of 1:54.94 while graduate student Casey Frank was sixth in an AARTFC qualifying time of 1:54.95
- Smith placed sixth in the 400-meter dash in 49.63 seconds
- Senior Trevor Gray took eighth in the 100-meter dash in 11.91 seconds
- Moravian's 4x100-meter relay squad of Gray, Gartner, senior Owen Sabastro and junior Jacob Fenstermaker finished third with an AARTFC qualifying time of 42.14 seconds
- The Hounds' 4x400-meter relay team of Gray, Smith, sophomore Jordan Gagner and freshman Delferson Contreras placed fourth in an AARTFC qualifying time of 3:23.34 in the final track event
