Sullivan Honored as ECAC Division III South Co-Softball Pitcher of the Week
CENTERVILLE, Mass. --- Freshman Lindsay Sullivan of the Moravian College softball team has been named the ECAC Division III Co-Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week along with Carrie Maier from Waynesburg University.
CENTERVILLE, Mass. --- Freshman Lindsay Sullivan of the Moravian College softball team has been named the ECAC Division III Co-Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week along with Carrie Maier from Waynesburg University.
Sullivan, who was also named the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week, picked up her first collegiate victory Sunday afternoon at Blue & Grey Field with a perfect game versus the College of Staten Island in the first game of a non-conference doubleheader. Sullivan faced the minimum 15 batters in the 8-0 Moravian win and she recorded two strikeouts.
Sullivan saw action in three of 20th–ranked Moravian's four games last week, starting two contests at first base in addition to her turn in the circle. At the plate, Sullivan hit .500 (four-for-eight) with three runs and a pair of RBIs. She also recorded 12 putouts in the field.
Moravian, which is 11-3 overall and 1-1 in Landmark Conference action, is scheduled to return to action on Friday, March 29th when the team travels to Ursinus College for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m.
