NEWARK, N.J. --- The Moravian University women's soccer squad dropped a 1-0 non-conference decision at Rutgers-Newark Saturday evening.
How It Happened
- The squads played a scoreless first half with the Scarlet Raiders holding a 9-2 advantage in shots including 6-1 on goal. Both teams had a pair of corner kicks in the opening 45 minutes of action
- Rutgers-Newark took a 1-0 lead just 1:18 into the second half on the first shot after the intermission
- The Hounds put four shots on goal later in the half looking for the equalizer but were unable to score

- Junior goalie Caitlyn Philips recorded a career-high 14 saves in the match
