Moravian Rallies Past Goucher for Crucial Landmark Conference Win
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s soccer squad rallied from a 1-0 deficit for a 3-1 victory over visiting Goucher College in Landmark Conference action Tuesday evening on John Makuvek Field.

How It Happened
- The Gophers opened the scoring with a short goal inside the near right post in the 22nd minute
- The Greyhounds countered in the 29th minute as sophomore midfielder/forward Kaylie Zimmer took a crossing pass from freshman defender Mia Stillarty on the right side for a 10-yard shot into the net to knot the score at 1-1
- Moravian found the net again in the 33rd minute as senior midfielder Colby Roach settled a ball in the box, moved to her left and first a 15-yard shot off of the goalie's hand and into the net to give the Blue & Grey a 2-1 edge
- The Hounds needed just 29 seconds into the second half to stretch the lead to 3-1 as freshman forward Maddy Marretta took a long pass in from the left side by senior defender Grace Blenis in the middle of the box before firing a low shot inside the left post
Inside the Numbers
- Zimmer and Marretta each scored the first goals of their careers while Roach netted her team-leading third goal of the season and fifth of her career
- Stillarty recorded her first career assist while Blenis notched her first assist of 2025 and second of her career
- Junior goalie Caitlyn Philips registered two saves
- The Blue & Grey had a 19-10 advantage in shots and a 7-4 edge in corner kicks
