Women's Volleyball Ranked 6th in Mid-Atlantic Region
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The Moravian College women's volleyball team is ranked sixth in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the first NCAA Division III Regional Rankings of the 2012 season released earlier this week.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The Moravian College women's volleyball team is ranked sixth in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the first NCAA Division III Regional Rankings of the 2012 season released Thursday.
The Greyhounds had an overall record of 20-5 through matches of October 14th, and Moravian was 20-5 as well in-region, the main critieria for ranking teams.
Salisbury University is the top ranked team in the Mid-Atlantic Region followed by Stevenson University, Juniata College, Johns Hopkins University and Eastern University. Trailing Moravian in the poll are Messiah College and Gallaudet University. Three of the Greyhounds' five losses this season are to Salisbury, Juniata and Eastern while Moravian has a victory over Messiah.
Moravian is scheduled to play Christopher Newport University, the second ranked team in the South Region, on October 25th.
The Greyhounds will play a pair of matches this weekend in a tri-match at Lycoming College along with Marymount (Va.) University beginning at 11:00 a.m.
