Pair of Second Half Goals Lift Greyhounds to Win over Stevenson (Md.) in 2025 Opener
CHESTERTOWN, Md. --- The Moravian University men’s soccer team rallied from a halftime deficit to defeat Stevenson (Md.) University, 3-2, in the opening round of the Athey Cup at Washington (Md.) College Friday afternoon in the first match of the 2025 season.

How It Happened
- The Mustangs opened the scoring in the second minute on just the second shot of the contest
- The Greyhounds evened the score at 1-1 in the 18th minute as junior midfielder Rafi Sanjuan dribbled the ball into the box and passed out wide to junior midfielder Colin Woehlcke. Woehlcke returned the pass back to Sanjaun, who drilled a shot into the upper left corner of the net
- Stevenson moved back ahead, 2-1, with a tally in the 27th minute
- Moravian knotted the contest at 2-2 in the 66th minute as sophomore midfielder Logan Moore took a pass in the middle of the offensive end and dribbled around a pair of defenders before firing a low shot into the bottom right corner of the net
- The Blue & Grey retook the lead in the 87th minute as Moore connected on a 25-yard shot inside the right post off a pass from sophomore forward Joey Roth
Inside the Numbers
- Moore's two goals were his first in the Greyhound uniform
- Sanjuan's goal was the third of his career
- Woehlcke earned his fourth career assist while Roth also picked up his fourth career assist
- Senior Casey Prajzner made the start in goal for Moravian and recorded four saves in the victory
- The Hounds had a 16-13 edge in shots while both squads had eight corner kicks
