Men's Tennis Sweeps Neumann, 9-0

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team posted a 9-0 sweep of Neumann University in non-conference action Wednesday at Hoffman Courts.
The Greyhounds won all three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead. Seniors Kevin Holze and Doug Morrow had an 8-0 victory at first singles while senior Drew Shreter and freshman Lewis Cooper had an 8-1 at second doubles. For Holze and Shreter, the wins were the 41st of their careers, tying Ian Box '10 and Thomas Turcich '11 for the school record. Morrow is sixth with 37 career doubles wins. Senior David Chan and junior Brad Kutcha rallied from a 2-1 deficit to post an 8-3 in at third doubles.
In singles action, Moravian won all six matches in straight sets. Holze earned his 48th career singles win with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at first singles, moving two wins away from becoming the third player in school history with 50 career wins. Morrow had a 6-0, 6-1 victory at second singles while Shreter posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles, the 45th of his career to move into a tie for fourth in the school record books. Cooper added a 6-1, 6-2 victory at fourth singles while Kutcha won 6-1, 6-0 at fifth singles and Chan had a 6-2, 6-2 win at sixth singles.
The Greyhounds will return to action on Thursday, April 19 in a non-conference match at Wilkes University beginning at 3:30 p.m.
