Holze & Morrow Earn Landmark Men's Tennis All-Conference Honors

MADISON, N.J. --- The Moravian College men’s tennis team has had two student-athletes earn spots on the 2012 Landmark All-Conference Teams with senior Kevin Holze making the First Team as singles and doubles player while senior Doug Morrow made the First Team in doubles and Second Team in singles.

MADISON, N.J. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team has had two student-athletes earn spots on the 2012 Landmark All-Conference Teams with senior Kevin Holze (Bayside, NY/St. Francis Prep HS) making the First Team as singles and doubles player while senior Doug Morrow (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh HS) made the First Team in doubles and Second Team in singles.

The Landmark All-Conference Teams were selected by the conference's eight head coaches. The teams consist of six singles players and three doubles pairings per team based on flight.

The duo helped the Greyhounds under the direction of first-year coach Art Smith to the postseason for the sixth straight season. The Greyhounds are 8-5 overall this season and Moravian was 4-3 in the Landmark Conference regular season as the squad reached the 2012 Landmark Conference Semifinals.

Holze, who was a Landmark All-Conference First Team honoree in singles in 2011 and Second Team selection in doubles in 2011, in singles in 2010 and singles and doubles in 2009, has a 10-2 singles mark this year including a 9-2 mark at first singles. Holze has a four-year record of 50-23, tied for second in school history for victories.

Holze and Morrow have combined for a 9-3 mark at first doubles this season. Holze is the school record holder with a career doubles record of 43-31 while Morrow is sixth in school history with a 39-24 record.

Morrow, who was on the All-Conference First Team in doubles in 2009 and 2011 as well as the Second Team in 2010 and the Second Team in singles a year ago, has a 9-3 singles slate this season including an 8-3 mark at second singles. Morrow has a singles mark of 280-32 in his four years at Moravian.

Moravian will close out its 2012 season with a non-conference match at rival Muhlenberg College on Friday, April 27 beginning at 4:00 p.m.
