BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's basketball squad is slated to start the 2019-20 schedule with a three-game road trip beginning on Friday, November 8 when the Greyhounds head to Dickinson College for a non-conference contest tipping off at 7:30 p.m.
The Hounds, who are aiming for their 19th consecutive postseason appearance under the direction of 33-year Head Coach Mary Beth Spirk, will head to Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts on November 16-17 for the Tyler Tip-Off Tournament with an opening round game versus Maine Maritime Academy on November 16 at 4:00 p.m. The Blue and Grey will play their first home contest of the year on Tuesday, November 19 when the squad welcomes The College of New Jersey to Johnston Hall for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off. Moravian finishes off November with two more road games with trips to Gwynedd Mercy University on Saturday, November 23 and DeSales University on Tuesday, November 26 for the annual pre-Thanksgiving break doubleheader with the men's squad.
The Greyhounds will play three of their four games in the month of December in Johnston Hall beginning on Tuesday, December 3 when rival Muhlenberg College comes to Bethlehem for a 7:00 p.m. contest. The Hounds' only road trip of the month is the first Landmark Conference game of the year on Saturday, December 7 at Elizabethtown College. After a week off for fall semester final exams, Moravian will host Immaculata University on Saturday, December 14 at 3:00 p.m. and Albright College on Tuesday, December 17 at 7:00 p.m.
The Blue and Grey return to action after an 18-day holiday break on Saturday and Sunday, January 4-5 when the squad hosts the Steel Club Classic in Johnston Hall with an opening round game versus Neumann University at 2:00 p.m. on January 4. Moravian's final 13 contests of the year are all Landmark Conference games with hosting versus The Catholic University of America on Saturday, January 11 at 4:00 p.m. and The University of Scranton on Wednesday, January 15 at 7:00 p.m. to cap off a six-game homestand. The Hounds will head to Juniata College on Saturday, January 18 and Drew University on Wednesday, January 22 before two more home games to finish the month with Goucher College coming to Johnston Hall on Saturday, January 25 at 4:00 p.m. and Susquehanna University playing in Bethlehem on Wednesday, January 29 at 7:00 p.m.
The Greyhounds head to Catholic on Saturday, February 1 to begin the final month of the regular season. Moravian then hosts Drew on Wednesday, February 5 at 7:00 p.m. before Juniata comes to Johnston Hall on Saturday, February 8 at 2:00 p.m. for the annual Play4Kay game. The program will also host its annual alumni game on February 8 at 11:00 a.m. Moravian will play its final three road games with trips to Scranton on Wednesday, February 12, Goucher on Saturday, February 15 and Susquehanna on Wednesday, February 19. The regular season concludes with the Hounds hosting Elizabethtown at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22.
The 2020 Landmark Conference Championships begin on Wednesday, February 26 with the top two teams in the four-team field hosting semifinal games. The conference championship game is slated for February 29 with the conference champion receiving an automatic bid to the 2020 NCAA Division III Tournament.
