BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College is continuing its look back at its 2018-19 athletic campaign. The third entry in our second countdown of the summer – the Top 10 Stories of the Year selected by the athletic administration – is our No. 8 highlight – a total of 343 Dean's List Honors earned by the Greyhounds during the academic year.
After each semester is completed, students at Moravian that achieved a 3.50 or higher GPA for the semester are named to the College's Dean's List. During the 2018-19 academic year, the College had 1,477 members on the lists for the fall and spring semesters including 343 student-athletes, which accounts 23.3 percent of the list. Overall, roughly 42 percent of Moravian's nearly 450 student-athletes earned Dean's List honors at least once during the academic year.
Each semester also saw 26 dual-sport student-athletes earn a spot on the Dean's List while competing on the field of competition for the entire year. Of the 343 Dean's List honors from the athletic department, 54 were for perfect 4.0 GPAs for the semester. Overall, Moravian's student-athletes recorded a cumulative 3.06 GPA during the fall semester with five teams over a 3.40 and an overall 3.14 GPA during the spring with seven programs over a 3.40 as a team.
