Leonard & Williamson Earn Landmark Track & Field Athletes of the Week
MADISON, N.J. – Junior Micah Leonard and senior Lisa Williamson of the Moravian College women's track & field team earned Landmark Conference Track & Field Athletes of the Week honors.
MADISON, N.J. – Junior Micah Leonard and senior Lisa Williamson of the Moravian College women's track & field team earned Landmark Conference Track & Field Athletes of the Week honors.
Leonard was named the field athlete of the week after winning two events for Moravian in her first day of competition in the outdoor season. Competing at the Muhlenberg Invitational, Leonard placed first in the triple jump with an ECAC qualifying distance of 11.42 meters (37 feet, 5 ¾ inches). She added a win in the long jump by posting a mark of 5.07 meters (16 feet, 7 ½ inches).
Williamson was named the track athlete of the week by providing a pair of top-4 individual performances and added a top-4 effort in a relay at the Muhlenberg Invitational. She was second in the 200 with a time of 26.63 seconds, and added a fourth-place finish in the 400 with a mark of 1:01.26. She also ran a leg on the 4x400-meter relay in a time of 4:20.73.
Track & Field returns to action this Friday and Saturday, April 13-14 as they host the Coach P Open.
