Greyhounds Shutout Drew for Landmark Conference Win
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s tennis squad swept visiting Drew University, 7-0, in Landmark Conference action at Hoffman Courts Wednesday afternoon.

How It Happened
- The Greyhounds captured all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead. Junior Sydney Shifman and freshman Natalia Smith finished first with a 6-0 victory at second doubles while senior Izzy Szmodis and junior Leah Zolotareva added a 6-3 triumph at first doubles to clinch the point. Sophomore Jenna Gower and freshman Kaelyn Balko completed the sweep with a 6-4 win at third doubles
- The Blue & Grey won all six singles contests in straight sets with Zolotareva finishing first with a 6-1, 6-2 triumph at first singles. Balko made it 3-0 with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at fifth singles while Szmodis clinched winning team point with a 6-2, 6-2 triumph at second singles. Smith won 6-2, 6-2 at third singles while Shifman added a 6-4, 6-2 win at fourth singles and Gower posted a 7-5, 6-1 triumph at fifth singles
- Moravian has reached the 10-win plateau for the ninth time in ten years with the only season falling short being the COVID-shortened 2019-20 campaign
