185 Greyhounds Honored on 2026 Landmark Conference Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll
TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference announced its 2026 Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll selections today honoring 1,528 individuals including 185 student-athletes from Moravian University. The Honor Roll recognizes all winter and spring student-athletes who have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.

The Honor Roll recognizes all winter and spring student-athletes who have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.
In a change to the Landmark Conference awards structure that began in 2020-21, the spring semester academic honor roll now includes all spring sports as well as men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s swimming & diving, men’s and women’s indoor track & field, wrestling and men’s volleyball.
Moravian had student-athletes from 15 of its winter and spring teams that compete in the conference with the women’s track & field program leading the way with 46 honorees including 23 both indoors and outdoors. The men’s track & field team had 45 total honorees with 23 indoors and 22 outdoors while the men’s lacrosse and baseball squads each had 16 selections. The softball program saw 15 players honored followed by the women’s lacrosse program with 14 honorees and the women’s basketball squad with 11. The men’s golf team had six student-athletes honored followed by the women’s golf and men’s tennis squads with four, men’s basketball and women’s tennis with three and women’s swimming with two student-athletes selected.
The women’s track & field team was the runner-up in both the 2026 Landmark Conference Indoor and Outdoor Championships. Leading the Academic Honor Roll nominees are seniors Heather Adams, Tori Champagne, Ali Haefele, Shai Knight, Caroline Melillo, Makenna Mersch, Meghan Myers, Sarah Rice, Tara Smurla and Kara Vashey, juniors Rachele Grigoli, Alexis Hockenberry, Alyssa Hockenberry, Kierstyn Klingner and Kayla O’Neil and sophomores Emerson Beamer, Becca Caird, Erika Deitz, Jessica Heydt, Tessa Hopkins, Annika Petyk, Emma Shafnisky and Naaliyah Slater Everyone on the list competed in both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
The men’s track & field team won the 2026 Landmark Conference Outdoor Championship after finishing second at the indoor meet, and the Hounds saw graduate student Kyle Weiss, seniors Bryan Kerchner and Liam Maguire, juniors Dylan Benbow, Xander DiMatteo, Jordan Gagner, Gavin Hefferan, Anthony Morillo, Adam Plummer, Jackson Royds, Mael Tshiyonga and William Weinlein and sophomore Dan Antar, Lane Bassett, Chris Downey, Grayson Kerzmann, Ricky Krouse, Jack Mattes, Chris Petit-Frere, Diego Portales, Michael Schippnick and Riley Trigo make the list in both seasons while graduate student Cole Stanchina was honored for the indoor campaign.
The men’s lacrosse program posted a 10-7 mark this spring and hosted a first round match in the Landmark Conference Tournament for the first time in program history. Seniors Ryan Kokoszka, Nick Mancini, James Panico and Mike Sickler, juniors Jay Ashford, Tucker Ellis, Liam Kelly, Hunter Klapmuts, Finnegan McGovern, Mike Willis and Peter Zaninelli and sophomores Robert Celona, Tyler Coban, Dylan DeNaples, Jace Schmalz and Connor Yeandle made the Academic Honor Roll.
Moravian’s baseball program finished the year at 13-24 in 2026. Graduate student Joey Richmond, seniors Ross Huffman, Matt Snyder and Sean Superka, juniors Jack DiCesare, Nick Leonard, Nate McBride, Dominic Venini and Caden Ward and sophomores Antonio Albanese, Emmit Budick, Luke Piripavel, Andrew Sagrestano, David Vozzo, Chase Wengryn and Ronnie Werkheiser all received Academic Honor Roll accolades.
The softball squad won the 2026 Landmark Conference Tournament and NCAA Division III Bethlehem (Pa.) Regional and played in the NCAA Division III McMinnville (Ore.) Super Regional to complete the season with a 35-12 record. Seniors Madison Berning, Samantha Derickson, Sarah DeStefano, Kayla Krausse, Natalie Otto, Kendall Szor and Emma Wariwanchik, juniors Madelin Cooper, Cassandra Farrell, Kyra Holtje, Shayla Morgan, and Emma Grace Pachkowski and sophomores Kaley Hoffman, Riley Robinson and Sydney Scarpato all earned spots on the Academic Honor Roll.
The women’s lacrosse squad finished the season with a 13-6 record and the program’s eight straight Landmark Conference Tournament appearance that included a berth in the Landmark Conference Semifinals. Graduate student Kerry Seiler, seniors Gianna Lotito and Victoria Salica, juniors Melissa Elefonte, Bailey Leatherman, Maia Machado and Reagan Reiner and sophomores Cailin Filep, Kathryn Hunsinger, Izzy Lotito, Lillian Martino, Alanna McBrearty, Maggie Modrovsky and Ella Steirer were named to the Academic Honor Roll.
The women’s basketball team was 11-15 this past winter and played in the Landmark Conference Tournament First Round. Senior Juliana Vassallo, juniors Elaine Herbert, Lizzie Lustig and Grace Steffen and sophomores Kyle Cabana, Kate Donaldson, Mallory Elias, Megan Elias, Brynn Ohlhoff, Emma Pukszyn and Ellie Wallbillich garnered spots on the Academic Honor Roll.
The men’s golf squad finished as the runner-up at the 2026 Landmark Conference Championships and senior Robbie McNelly, junior Avery Kozer and sophomores Austin Fulton, Blake Greenawald, Stephen Grosscup and Drew Kokinda named to the Academic Honor Roll.
The men’s tennis team squad, which was 15-6 while winning its first-ever Landmark Conference title and making the program’s first-ever NCAA Division III Tournament appearance in 2026, saw seniors Shayaan Farhad and Matt Labosky, junior Gavin Labbadia and sophomore Roman Farhad earn Academic Honor Roll accolades.
The women’s golf team took eighth at the 2026 Landmark Conference Championships and had seniors Ryan Hausknecht and Izzy Szmodis, junior Ella Oswald and sophomore Jensyn Buist on the Academic Honor Roll.
The men’s basketball squad, which was 15-10 this year, seniors Liam Cummiskey and Marquis Ratcliff sophomore John Kelly selected to the Academic Honor Roll.
The women’s tennis team posted a 18-4 record this year while winning the Landmark Conference Championship and making the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. Szmodis, who played tennis and golf, and juniors Sydney Shifman and Leah Zolotareva each received a nod on the Academic Honor Roll.
The women’s swimming team had graduate student Ashlee Limbacher and sophomore Gabby Blasko honored on the Academic Honor Roll in the program’s fourth season.
