TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior guard Chad Kratzer has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
Krazter netted a career-high 27 points to go with four assists, two rebounds and a steal in Moravian's 99-63 win over FDU-Florham in the opening round of the 44th Steel Club Classic in Johnston Hall Sunday evening. Kratzer shot 9-for-19 from the floor including 7-for-14 beyond the three-point line while playing 24 minutes.
"Chad had an outstanding shooting performance especially behind the three-point line last night," state Head Coach Darryl Keckler. "We are excited to see Chad's improvement continue each game as the season progresses."
The Hounds are scheduled to return to action on Monday, December 30 when Moravian hosts Dickinson College in the championship game of the 44th Steel Club Classic beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Johnston Hall.
