Kratzer Repeats as Landmark Conference Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior guard Chad Kratzer has repeated as the Landmark Conference Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for a second consecutive week for his performance the last seven days.
Krazter averaged 18.0 points per game and was named the Most Valuable Player of the 44th Steel Club Classic in a 2-0 week for the Greyhounds. He played 58 minutes while shooting 10-for-29 from the field, 7-for-20 on three-pointers and 9-for-11 at the foul line to go along with seven rebounds, six assists and five steals. Kratzer netted 23 points and added four assists, four steals and a rebound in a 104-75 victory over Dickinson College in the championship game of the 44th Steel Club Classic. He added 13 points, six rebounds, two assists and a steal in a 78-62 win at Messiah University in Moravian's final non-conference contest of the year to run the team's winning streak to three straight games.
"Chad has been a welcome addition to the program this season, and he continues to get better as he gets more comfortable with our style of play," state Head Coach Darryl Keckler. "As we begin the conference stretch to end the regular season, we'll look to Chad to continue his hot shooting of late."
The Hounds are slated to return to the court on Wednesday, January 8 when the squad heads to Juniata College for a Landmark Conference game beginning at 7:00 p.m.
