How It Happened
- The Greyhounds opened the scoring with a driving lay-up by junior guard Porter Kelly on the first possession of the game, and junior forward Marquis Ratcliff made it 4-0 with a jumper on the next trip down the floor. The River Hawks answered with ten straight points to build a 10-4 edge before senior guard/forward Michael Leonardo stopped the run with a three-pointer. Susquehanna pushed the advantage out to seven points at 21-14 with just under ten minutes left in the opening half
- The River Hawks held a 30-21 lead at the 7:12 mark when the Blue & Grey when on a 13-2 run with a lay-up from junior guard Chad Kratzer giving Moravian a 34-32 edge with 3:59 on the clock. The Hounds pushed the edge to 37-34 on a three-pointer from Ratcliff but Susquehanna would hit a late three-pointer to take a 40-39 advantage to the locker room
- The River Hawks began the second half with an 11-0 run to stretch the lead to 51-39 before freshman forward Jametric Harris connected on a driving lay-up for the Blue & Grey. Susquehanna had an 11-point edge, 65-54, midway through the second half, and the River Hawks maintained the double digit advantage for the rest of the contest
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had two players in double figures led by Krazter, who netted a game high 30 points to go with seven rebounds and three assists
- Ratcliff recorded 16 points and five rebounds while Leonardo had nine points, four rebounds, four assists and four blocked shots
- Harris finished with six points while freshman forward Brave Haugh scored three points
- Kelly and sophomore guard George Cutler both had two points
- Sophomore guard Taylor Perlmutter added one point while graduate student guard Alex Dietz had two boards
- The Blue & Grey shot 25-for-58 from the field, 10-for-30 on three-pointers and 9-for-13 at the foul line, and the Hounds forced the River Hawks into 16 turnovers while committing just 13 turnovers
