Moravian Drops Landmark Conference Contest to Wilkes
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s basketball team dropped an 85-63 decision to visiting Wilkes University in Landmark Conference action Wednesday evening in Johnston Hall.

How It Happened
- The Greyhounds scored first on a lay-up from junior forward Marquis Ratcliff on the opening possession of the game, and three-pointers from junior guards Porter Kelly and Chad Kratzer had the Hounds up 8-2. The Blue & Grey led 11-4 after a three-point play from Kelly; however, Wilkes scored 21 of the next 25 points to take a 25-15 lead with 10:14 left in the opening half
- The Colonels extended the advantage to as many as 23 points before taking a 50-33 lead into the locker room at halftime
- Senior guard/forward Michael Leonardo made a lay-up to begin the scoring in the second half to get Moravian within 50-35 but that would be as close as the score would get for the rest of the contest
Inside the Numbers
- Ratcliff was the only Greyhounds to score in double figures with 19 points to go along with five blocked shots and three rebounds
- Kelly, sophomore guard George Cutler and freshman guard John Kelly all scored six points while Leonardo finished with five points, four assists and two boards
- Freshman forward Jametric Harris added five points and five rebounds while freshman guard Dylan Costa had five points
- Kratzer and sophomore guard Taylor Perlmutter both had three points with Perlmutter grabbing three rebounds while graduate student guard Alex Dietz had two points, three assists, two steals and a pair of boards
- Sophomore guard/forward Riley Flood tossed in two points while junior forward Liam Cummiskey added a point
- Moravian shot 20-for-56 from the field, 8-for-26 on three-pointers and 15-for-22 at the foul line
