Greyhounds Race Past Lycoming as Dietz Nets 1,000th Point

How It Happened
- The Greyhounds opened the scoring with a pair of free throws by junior forward Marquis Ratcliff while junior guard Chad Kratzer hit a pair of three-pointers and graduate student guard Alex Dietz added a three-pointer as the Blue & Grey built an 11-0 lead. The Warriors closed within four points at 13-9 before Kratzer sank another three-pointer. Lycoming made it a two-point game at 18-16 but the Hounds led 23-16 at the midway point of the first half after a lay-up by freshman forward Jametric Harris
- Lycoming got within two points again at 25-23 before Moravian pulled away with a 17-4 run capped by a three-point play from Kratzer. The Greyhounds took a 45-30 led to the intermission as Kratzer beat the buzzer with a three-pointer
- The Hounds slowly pulled away throughout the second half. At the 17:31 mark, Dietz made a lay-up to become the 26th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had five players in double figures for the second straight game with senior guard/forward Michael Leonardo netting a career-high 20 points to go with 11 rebounds for his sixth career double-double. Leonardo also became the 19th player in program history to reach 500 career rebounds, now 17th all-time with 504 career boards
- Ratcliff finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds and two blocked shots for his sixth double-double of the winter and the 27th double-double of his career while Kratzer had 15 points, five boards, two assists and two steals
- Junior guard Porter Kelly tossed in 13 points to go along with seven rebounds and six assists while freshman guard Dylan Costa netted a career-high 12 points
- Dietz contributed five points while sophomore guard Taylor Perlmutter had five points, three rebounds and three assists
- Sophomore guard George Cutler added two points and three rebounds while Harris had two points and two boards and sophomore forward Cale Maxey scored two points
- Junior forward Liam Cummiskey and sophomore forward Brian Farrell both had two rebounds for the Hounds
- The Greyhounds shot 35-for-76 from the field, 10-for-33 beyond the three-point line and 14-for-17 at the foul line
- The Blue & Grey had a 53-34 edge on the boards including 15-7 on the offensive glass, and Moravian forced Lycoming into 13 turnovers while only committing ten turnovers
