BETHLEHEM, Pa. The Moravian University men's lacrosse team has named graduate student attack Trevor Dzama and seniors defender Jason Levy, short stick defensive midfielder Aden Moskovitz and midfielder Steven Salica as its captains for the second straight year heading into the 2025 season.
Dzama made the Landmark All-Conference Second Team last spring, and he has played 53 matches during his career and started 46 of those contests. He has contributed 75 goals, a program and Landmark Conference record 128 assists for a school record 203 points. Dzama also has 69 ground balls in his career.
"Trevor returning for his 5th year is great for our offense," commented Head Coach Dave Carty. "He's got great vision and he's extremely tough. He is a quiet leader who we can always count on."
Levy, who was honored on the Landmark All-Conference Second Team a year ago, has played 45 matches during his career and started 44 of those contests. He has contributed one goal, one assist, 110 ground balls and 50 caused turnovers.
"Jason leads the defense and is our number one defender," Carty said. "He's a very smart player who organizes our defense."
Moskovitz, who made the Landmark All-Conference Second Team last season, has played 45 matches during his career and started 23 of those outings. He has contributed six goals, eight assists, 86 ground balls and 39 caused turnovers.
"Aden is a really tough and committed d-middy for us," stated Carty. "He does all the jobs that you don't get recognized for: he's great on ground balls, plays the wing, clears great. He's the player other players go to for encouragement. He's a great captain."
Salica has played 40 matches during his career with one start. He has contributed 29 goals, eight assists, 29 ground balls and five caused turnovers. Salica is a two-time member of the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team.
"Steven is a really gritty and talented midfielder," Carty explained. "He's very smooth with his dodges and he's smart when he attacks the net."
The men's lacrosse team is scheduled to start the 2025 campaign on Saturday, February 15 with a non-conference match at Albright College beginning at noon.
