TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior attack Jackie Salvatore has been honored as the Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
Salvatore scored another 20 points to lead the Greyhounds in a 1-1 week in Landmark Conference action. Salvatore, who garnered her second Landmark Conference weekly honor of the season, recorded 10 goals, 10 assists, eight draw controls, a ground ball and a caused turnover. She had six goals, five assists, three draw controls, a ground ball and a caused turnover in a 20-8 victory at Goucher College, and Salvatore added four goals, five assists and five draw controls in a 13-11 loss at Juniata College. The 20 points moved Salvatore within 10 points of breaking the Landmark Conference's career scoring record.
"Jackie continues to consistently put up big numbers," noted Head Coach Caroline Pape. "She leads the conference in assists which is a testament to her selflessness on the field. She's the ultimate team player."
The Greyhounds are set to return to action on Wednesday, April 9 when the squad heads to Elizabethtown College in a Landmark Conference contest beginning at 5:00 p.m.
