Greyhounds Open Outdoor Season with Five Regional Marks at Danny Curran Invitational
CHESTER, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s outdoor track & field squad began its 2026 outdoor season at the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University on Friday & Saturday with the Greyhounds recording five All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field Conference qualifying marks.

Moravian Top 10 Results
- Sophomore Emma Shafnisky placed fourth in the long jump with an AARTFC qualifying and personal best distance of 5.49 meters (18-0.25)
- The Greyhounds' 4x400-meter relay team of senior Shai Knight, junior Rachele Grigoli and freshmen Naomi Craig and Morgan Tandy finished fourth with a time of 4:11.01
- Shafnisky was also fifth in the 100-meter hurdles in an AARTFC qualifying time and PR time of 15.00 seconds, the ninth fastest in program history
- Sophomore Kennedy Simons was sixth in the triple jump on Friday night with a mark of 10.51 meters (34-5.75) in her last attempt of the finals
- Junior Alyssa Hockenberry took ninth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:21.05
AARTFC Qualifiers
- Senior Meghan Myers took 15th in the 5,000-meter run on Friday with an AARTFC qualifying time of 18:03.92 while junior Kayla O'Neil was 20th in an AARTFC qualifying time of 18:12.94 and freshman Kate Veivia placed 24th with an AARTFC qualifying time of 18:27.19
