Top 10 Stories of 2024-25 - #4 Women’s Track & Field Sweeps Landmark Conference Titles
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University is continuing its look back at its 2024-25 athletic campaign. The next entry in our second countdown of the summer – the Top 10 Stories of the Year selected by the athletic administration – is our No. 4 highlight – the women’s track & field program sweeping the 2025 Landmark Conference Indoor and Outdoor Championships.

The next entry in our second countdown of the summer – the Top 10 Stories of the Year selected by the athletic administration – is our No. 4 highlight – the women's track & field program sweeping the 2025 Landmark Conference Indoor and Outdoor Championships.
On Saturday, March 1 at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex in Landover, Maryland, the Greyhounds captured the 2025 Landmark Conference Indoor Championship by 28 points as the program won its 13th Landmark indoor title, the first since 2020, and 27th overall indoor crown. Moravian had five event champions with junior Tara Smurla winning both the 3,000-meter and 5,000-meter runs, junior Ali Haefele taking first in the high jump, junior Karalyn Vashey capturing the 20-pound weight throw and junior Margie Rayne winning the shot put.
On May 3-4 at Susquehanna University, Moravian won the 2025 Landmark Conference Outdoor Championship by 33 points as the program won its 15th Landmark outdoor title, first since 2022, and 28th overall outdoor crown. Rayne was named the Women's Field Performer of the Year after winning the shot put, hammer and discus while Smurla was the champion in the 10,000-meter run at the meet.
