Moravian Track & Field Teams Open 2025-26 Indoor Schedule at Lehigh Fast Times Before Finals & Ursinus Bow Tie Invitational
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s and women’s indoor teams are ready to start the 2025-26 indoor campaign at the Lehigh University Fast Times Before Finals at Rauch Fieldhouse on Friday and Saturday, December 5-6 and the Ursinus College Bow Tie Invitational on Saturday, December 6.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's and women's indoor teams are ready to start the 2025-26 indoor campaign at the Lehigh University Fast Times Before Finals at Rauch Fieldhouse on Friday and Saturday, December 5-6 and the Ursinus College Bow Tie Invitational on Saturday, December 6.
Under the leadership of Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Jesse Baumann, the women's team looks to repeat as the Landmark Conference Champions while the men's squad looks for its first title since 2020 in the 2026 meet on Saturday, February 28 at Susquehanna University.
The men have five returning student-athletes that earned Landmark All-Conference honors in 2025 led by junior thrower Anthony Morillo, who was the 2025 Landmark Conference Indoor Field Performer of the Year after winning the shot put and garnering Honorable Mention All-Conference in the 35-pound weight throw.
Junior Jordan Gagner returns as the defending 800-meter run champion while senior Jerome Luckey looks for his third straight title in the high jump and graduate student Cole Stanchina aims to win a second straight title in the 5,000-meter run. Stanchina was also a Second Team All-Conference honoree in the 3,000-meter run while junior Gavin Hefferan earned All-Conference Honorable Mention in the 5,000-meter run with a third place finish.
The women have eight returning Landmark All-Conference honorees led by senior distance runner Tara Smurla, who won both the 5,000-meter and 3,000-meter runs a year ago. Senior thrower Karalyn Vashey returns to defend her title in the 20-pound weight throw while senior thrower Margie Rayne looks to repeat as the shot put champion and senior jumper Ali Haefele tries to win a second straight high jump championship.
Senior Shai Knight, junior Rachele Grigoli and sophomore Emerson Beamer return from the 4x400-meter relay team that earned Honorable Mention All-Conference last winter while sophomore Emma Shafnisky was on the All-Conference Honorable Mention squad with a third place in the 60-meter hurdles.
