Greyhounds Post an Event Win & Two Regional Qualifiers at Danny Curran Invitational
CHESTER, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s outdoor track & field team posted one event win and two All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying marks at the Widener University Danny Curran Invitational Friday and Saturday to begin the 2026 outdoor campaign.

Moravian Event Winner
- Junior Gavin Hefferan won the 3,000-meter steeplechase with an AARTFC qualifying time of 9:36.61
Moravian Top 10 Results
- Sophomore Owen Smith placed fifth in the 400-meter hurdles with an AARTFC qualifying time of 55.99 seconds
- The Hounds' 4x400-meter relay squad of junior Mael Tshiyonga, sophomore Delferson Contreras and freshmen Gavin Casey and Ramses Valera finished fifth in a time of 3:28.23
- Junior Jordan Gagner took seventh in the 800-meter run in a time of 1:56.82
- Senior Bryan Kerchner placed eighth in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 4:01.34
- Graduate student Kyle Weiss finished tenth in the long jump at 6.38 meters (20-11.25) in his first career long jump event
