Dillon Farrell ’15 - New Moravian Hall of Fame Inductee
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Dillon M. Farrell ’15, an All-American cross country runner, is being inducted into the Moravian University Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, October 24 in Johnston Hall beginning at 6:00 p.m.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Dillon M. Farrell '15, an All-American cross country runner, is being inducted into the Moravian University Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, October 24 in Johnston Hall beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Farrell, who completed his degree in 2015, was the first male to earn cross country All-America honors. As a senior, Farrell took 17th at the 2014 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country National Championships in his second appearance at the national meet. Farrell captured Landmark Conference Runner of the Year honors in 2012 and 2013 while finishing as the runner-up in 2014 to garner three Landmark All-Conference First Team accolades. He was also a three-time NCAA Division III All-Mideast Region runner, earning the honor in 2011, 2013 and 2014.
On the track, Farrell was selected as the 2014 Landmark Conference Indoor Male Track Athlete of the Year after winning both the 3,000-meter and 5,000-meter runs. He earned two Landmark All-Conference First Team and three All-Conference Second Team honors indoors. Outdoors, Farrell garnered a pair of Landmark All-Conference First Team selections and four All-Conference Second Team honors. He also won the 10,000-meter championship at the 2012 ECAC Division III Outdoor Championships, and Farrell was Moravian's Outstanding Senior Male Athlete in 2015.
Farrell is being joined by softball All-American Jennifer E. Dalickas '15; long jump and triple jump All-American Micah E. Leonard '13 S '18; All-American football standout Allen W. Petros Jr., DMD '12; All-American baseball shortstop David Zubia '12 and former head men's basketball and men's tennis coach Jim Walker in the class of 2025 being inducted Moravian Athletic Hall of Fame. The 2010 baseball squad will also be honored on Friday, October 24 in Johnston Hall as part of Moravian's Family Day Weekend.
